The Sacred Psoas Muscles by Dancing Warrior Yoga
Limited Capacity full
Adding this to your schedule will put you on the waitlist.

Mathew Bergan from Dancing Warrior Yoga, Sydney provides the ultimate yoga clinic for athletes and yogis designed to tap into the sacred psoas muscles – the almighty hip flexor and respiratory regulator.

If you plan to blitz the Wanderlust 108 Triathlon in 2017 then chances are your psoas muscles will be tight post exercise. The psoas muscles are the deepest muscles in your core and the primary connectors between your torso and your legs. They affect your posture and help to stabilize the spine. Tight or short psoas muscles can result in lower back pain and hip discomfort.

Healthy psoas muscles are vital to anyone’s structural and psychological well-being, because of their connection to the diaphragm – your breath and the base chakras. The connections between the psoas muscle and the diaphragm literally connect your ability to walk, run and breathe, and also how you respond to stress, fear and excitement.

During this yoga clinic you will experience dynamic yoga postures, restorative bodywork, free form movement and ancient breathing techniques designed to  liberate the pelvis. Warning this workshop might result in a better sex life.

Join Sarah Routhier from BodyMindLife for this nourishing, restorative workshop on massage. Massage helps prevent muscle soreness and fatigue in the body and you'll recover faster from your Wanderlust 108 run. Sarah will take you through a combination of deep tissue therapy and Thai techniques and teach you to give a 10 min massage to a friend. We will go over how to give the right amount of pressure and help decrease tension in the areas that hold the most stress without hurting your body. And of course it's not all about giving! You'll get to receive as well. Bring a friend or make a new one!
